Dr. Ferrer has been creating smiles since 1999. Over the years, Dr. Ferrer has treated many area dentists, their employees, and their families. We work closely with all area dentists to provide a total team approach in our mutual patients' care.
Conservative Treatment Philosophy
There are numerous ways to correct most orthodontic problems. Some orthodontists choose to initiate treatment when a number of primary (baby) teeth are still present. When this is done it is called "early treatment" or "Phase I" treatment. Almost always a second phase of treatment is then required when all the permanent (adult) teeth erupt. Dr. Ferrer is very conservative with regard to early treatment and will not recommend it unless they are confident it will provide a significant long-term benefit. They have found that, as the orthodontic literature suggests, most early treatment options do little to shorten the duration of or minimize the difficulty of a later stage of treatment.

Hello, and welcome to my practice! I enjoy orthodontics because I get to make a difference in people's lives by giving them a beautiful confident smile. I love watching a shy timid child who doesn't want to smile transform into an outgoing, confident young person! I also really love working with adults because we develop a relationship over 2 years where I get to know about their lives and their family. It gives me great satisfaction to see the powerful effects of orthodontics on both children and adults!
In the Office
I specialize in both children and adult patients, which includes multiple options including Suresmile, Invisalign, Clear and Lingual braces. I have a state-of-the-art facility, offering the latest technology including digital X-rays for reduced radiation and 24-hour online access to your account and images.
I provide only the highest quality of care and customer service. I truly care about each of my patients and their families. I am a perfectionist in my work, and believe that every patient should be seen on time. Our office is focused on individualized quality care where every patient is given the quality and time they deserve.
As a mother, having a comfortable, soothing chair-side manner comes naturally to me, which helps me relate to children at their level. I always take the time to listen and educate my patients. We have a fun, upbeat office that makes both kids and adults feel comfortable and welcome. We have patient contests and smile rewards cards to make braces more fun. They have a truly fun experience from the day they get their braces to the day they come off!

Family Life
I am a native of Ft. Lauderdale and love serving people in my home town! I am married to my husband, John, and have two children, Julia and John. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing raquetball, and skiing. I am also active in the Alzheimer's Charity Foundation and local schools.
Education
I attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where I graduated at the top of my class. I continued my education at the University of Florida Orthodontic program where I served as Chief Resident and received my post-doctoral master's degree. While at the University of Florida, I was involved in extensive research and clinical trials in the field of orthodontics.
Continuing Education:
Although my formal education is complete, I am always striving to utilize the most current advances in orthodontics. As a part of my continuing education, I have become a board certified orthodontist, and Broward's first Suresmile Provider! I also teach area dentists about orthodontics at the Broward Research clinic. My continuing education helps me ensure that I am always providing the highest quality services, using the most precise technology available.
